David Dugan ’98 joined the Gonzaga staff in April 2017 as the Vice President of Alumni and Advancement. Before coming back to his alma mater, David was at Georgetown Prep, most recently as the Director of Development and Alumni Relations. David is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, where he was a captain of the football team; he also earned a master’s degree in Education Administration from Trinity Washington University. Daniel P. Costello '72 is Vice President for Major & Planned Gifts. A 1976 graduate from the University of Maryland with a degree in Communications, Danny has served Gonzaga in a variety of capacities since 1974, including as a football coach, Director of WZAG, Assistant Dean of Students, Director of Development, and Vice President for Advancement. Byron T. Harper '84
Director of Alumni Relations
Byron T. Harper ’84 is the Director of Alumni Relations. Byron holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of the District of Columbia. Prior to joining the staff at Gonzaga, he worked as a Math Enrichment instructor for grades 4-8 at St. Raphael’s in Rockville, MD. Jennifer S. Doherty joined Gonzaga as the Director of Events in August 2016. She was most recently the President of Doherty and Associates, llc, an event consulting firm she founded in 2011 that provided strategic planning and support services for corporate events and meetings, social events, and political and charitable fundraisers. Prior to that, Jen was Sales Executive at Design Cuisine. A graduate of Georgetown Visitation (1991) and Providence College (1995), she resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband and three boys.
