Dominik Pettey Purple White Hockey Game

Gonzaga Ice Hockey typically kicks off its season every year with the Dominik Pettey Purple White Game, an inter-squad game played in honor of friend and teammate Dominik Pettey ’15, who died in a car accident in 2014.
Due to limitations on social gathering and sporting events, the 2020 Dominik Pettey '15 Memorial Purple White Game will be replaced with an online campaign to continue supporting a Gonzaga education for deserving students in need. Called 11 Days for #11, the campaign will begin with a Mass in Dom's honor on All Saints Day on Sunday, November 1 and continue through 11:11 pm on November 11.
This event raises money for the Dominik L. Pettey ’15 Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund at Gonzaga. Dominik, whose #11 was retired by Gonzaga hockey after his tragic death, embodied the spirit of Gonzaga, and the fund is one way we keep his legacy strong on Eye Street.
