Gonzaga Rugby is excited for our spring 2026 trip to New Zealand! This will be our first ever trip to "Aotearoa, Land of the Long White Cloud." The trip will combine cultural experiences with exciting competition, and promises to be an unforgettable trip for the rugby players and supporters.

Cost for Supporter = $3,400.00

$400.00 non-refundable deposit no later than November 1, 2025

No Flights Included - Must Book Your Own flights
*You must arrive in Auckland the morning of April 2nd if you want ground transport with the tour.

Accommodations and Meals:

Five nights at Novotel Lakeside Rotorua

Three nights at Park Hyatt Auckland

Rooms are Twin share

**Single room upgrade = $900.00

All meals as stated in the tour itinerary

All Ground Transportation and Local Logistical Support.

The Rugby Experience:
Two Varsity and two JV rugby Matches against local opposition. Fixtures inclusive of post-match reception and hospitality.

Tickets to the Chiefs vs Waratahs Super Rugby game in Hamilton

Activities and Excursions Include:

Guided Cultural walk on Mt Maunganui

Entry to Skyline Rotorua including cable car and three luge rides

A visit to Hamilton Gardens

Waimangu Volcanic Valley experience including guided trek and Rotomahana Lake cruise

Restorative journey package at Wai Akiri Spa

Cultural experience at Mitai Maori Village

Wine tasting experience on Waiheke Island including ferry from Auckland Harbour

Travel Insurance

Gonzaga recommends that participants consider securing travel insurance for this trip. In the event of a cancellation or disruption to the trip, Gonzaga will make every effort to recover any and all payments made, but cannot guarantee the extent to which progress payments can be recovered in such circumstances. Trip insurance backstops those efforts. Note that comprehensive trip insurance is difficult to secure in the current environment. This link will take you to a page to secure voluntary trip cancellation/interruption coverage through the Academic Explorer Program, a plan sourced by Gonzaga's primary insurance broker. This coverage is designed to protect a portion of your otherwise non-refundable trip expenses should future travel need to be cancelled. Again, coverage is voluntary, and participants may also secure coverage independently if they choose to do so.
