News of Alumni: Brody Mullins ‘92 and Luke Mullins ‘96

Gonzaga alumni and brothers Brody Mullins ‘92 and Luke Mullins ‘96 have written a new book about the lobbying industry in DC called The Wolves of K Street. The book, which is currently available for pre-order and will be officially released on Tuesday, May 7th, digs into the history and influence of lobbying.

Brody is an investigative reporter in the Washington D.C. bureau of The Wall Street Journal where he covers business, lobbying and campaign finance; he was part of a team that won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 2023. A contributing writer at Politico magazine, Luke has been a senior writer at Washingtonian magazine and has also written for The Atlantic, Esquire, and Mother Jones, among other publications.

According to publisher Simon & Schuster, The Wolves of K Street is “a dazzling and infuriating portrait of fifty years of corporate influence in Washington,” and “a masterpiece of narrative nonfiction--irresistibly dramatic, spectacularly timely, explosive in its revelations, and absolutely impossible to put down.”

Luke and Brody recently attended a Gonzaga Fathers Club meeting, where they discussed the new book with current Gonzaga dads. In addition, Brody will be featured in the Spring 2024 issue of Gonzaga Magazine, landing on doorsteps in mid-May, talking about his path from Eye Street to winning the Pulitzer Prize.

Luke and Brody will appear at Politics & Prose (5015 Connecticut Ave, NW) on Wednesday, May 22nd at 7 pm, a free event with first-come, first-served seating. For more information, click here.
