Basketball Finishes Second in WCAC, Plays in DCSAA Semifinal Tonight

Varsity Basketball advanced to the WCAC Championship by defeating Ireton in the quarterfinal game 70-53 and DeMatha in the semifinal game 53-50. The Eagles lost to top-ranked Paul VI in the Championship on Monday, February 26, 63-51. Juniors Derek Dixon, Christian Gurdak, and Nic Lewis combined for 41 points in the losing effort. The Eagles remain ranked #2 by the Washington Post behind Paul VI.

On Wednesday, the Eagles were back in action in the quarterfinals of the DCSAA tournament against Carroll, beating the Lions 85-71 to advance to tonight's semifinal game against Sidwell Friends at Georgetown University at 9pm. If we win, we will advance to Sunday's championship game at George Washington University at 8pm against the winner of Jackson Reed and St. John's. Mobile tickets are $10 and can be purchased online here.  All fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online; a limited number of tickets will be available for $20 cash purchase at the door. Children under 10 receive free admission. The games will be streamed on NFHS Network here for a fee.
