Indoor Track Finishes Third at DCSAAs and Wins the Jesuit Invitational

Indoor Track competed in the DCSAA Championship on February 13, coming in third for the second straight year. The Eagles were led by the double gold medal performance by Anthony Sarro '26 who won the 1600 with personal best 4:23.09 (second all-time in school history) and the 3200 with another personal best 9:35.35 (seventh all-time in school history).

John Dearie '24 and Kainoa Winston '24 won silver medals in the 55 meter hurdles and 55 meter dash, respectively. Winston bested his previous school-record time with a new mark of 6.40. Bronze medal winners included Lucas Rohde '24 in the 3200 and the 4x800 team of Teddy Fritz '26, Kai Rock '26, Ian Catanzano '26, and Matt Podratsky '25. Click here to see all of Gonzaga's results. The team also competed in the Jesuit Invitational on February 16, defeating Georgetown Prep and Loyola Blakefield by a wide margin. Dearie set a new school record in the 55 hurdles with a 7.38. Lincoln Shelton '27 qualified for Nationals with a 6.69 in the 55 Dash, and Lincoln Fisher '25 qualified for Nationals with a 22' Long Jump. Click here to see all of our results.

The final meet of the Indoor Season ahead of Nike and New Balance Nationals is the Roadrunners Invitational at George Mason University on Saturday, February 24.
