Basketball Beats St. John's to Secure #2 Seed in WCAC Playoffs

"I was confident driving the lane, and when you play with confidence good things happen," Nic Lewis '25 told the Washington Post. Lewis, along with fellow juniors Derek Dixon and Christian Gurdak led the Eagles to a tough 58-55 win at St. John's on Tuesday, February 13. The Eagle trio scored 38 points on the night combined, with Lewis pouring in 15, Gurdak adding 13, and Dixon totaling 10. Early in the game, Dixon eclipsed 1000 points on his career, the same feat Lewis accomplished earlier in the year.

With the win the Eagles improved to 24-4 overall and 11-2 in WCAC play to secure the number 2 seed in next weekend's WCAC playoffs.
