Indoor Track Excels at FUMA and Episcopal, Adds Nationals Qualifiers

Indoor Track competed at the Fork Union Military Academy in The Fred Invitational on January 20. Senior captain John Dearie won the 300 meter dash and came in second in the 55 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 7.56. Additionally, the Eagles won medals in the 4x400 relay (2nd), High Jump (4th) and the 4x800 (6th). Click here for complete Gonzaga results.

In the Episcopal Winter Invite on January 25, the Eagles had another strong performance across the board. Dearie won the 55 hurdles, Ozias Tulloch '27 won the 500 meter run, Langston Davis '25 won the High Jump, Lincoln Fisher '25 with the Triple Jump, and the team of Calvin Timm '25, Dearie, Daniel Lee '26, and Jude McGroarty '24 won the 4x400.  Click here for complete Gonzaga results.

With the success of the season so far, we have qualified for the following Nike Nationals events:
  • 60m Dash (Kainoa Winston '25)
  • 60m Hurdles (Dearie)
  • 4x200
  • 1 Mile Run (Lucas Rohde '24 and Anthony Sarro '26)
  • Freshman 400 (Tulloch)
  • Triple Jump (Fisher)
Next up, the team will be back at Episcopal for the Maroon & Black Invite on Thursday, February 1. And on Saturday, February 3, the Eagles will compete in the Private School's Invitational at Georgetown Prep. Follow the program on Instagram here.
