Hockey Beats Landon, Holds Top Seed in MAPHL AA Division
In a hard fought MAPHL game, V1 Hockey defeated Landon 4-3 on January 25 at Rockville Ice House to remain undefeated in league play. The Eagles compete in the AA division and are now 7-0 claiming the top seed for the upcoming playoffs in February with just one league game left on their schedule. Both Gonzaga and St. John's also compete in the WCAC. We will face the Cadets two times (on February 2 and February 7) ahead of our final MAPHL game against Mt. St. Joseph's on February 9. Those games against St. John's will not count in the MAPHL regular season standings. Click here to see the entire schedule.
The Eagles are playing well and are looking to finish the season strong. In the win over Landon, goals were scored by Ben Norton '24 (2), Gavin Oglesby '24, and Roman Villegas '25. Villegas also had an assist, along with Tyler Jasek '25 and Lucas Abrantes '25. Goalie Tucker Forrest '24 had 26 saves between the pipes on the night.
