Soccer Starts Season 2-0

After a championship 2022 season, Gonzaga Soccer began its 2023 campaign on Tuesday, August 29, on Buchanan Field with a 4-0 win over Benedictine (VA). Last year's Washington All-Met Soccer Player of the Year Daniel Bollman '24, started the season off right where he left off, scoring three goals. Ivan Hughes '25 scored a laser shot from outside the box to beat the keeper for Gonzaga's other goal on the night. Copeland Marshall '24, Samuel Reilly '24, Dylan Franklin '24, and Colin Crowe '25 led the defense to a shut out.

On Thursday, August 31, in a highly anticipated DCSAA Championship rematch Gonzaga played strong again and defeated Washington International School 4-0.

Next up, the Eagles will travel to Rockville, Maryland to face their Jesuit rival Georgetown Prep Wednesday, September 6, at 4:30pm. You can find the entire soccer schedule here
