Wrestling Competes in Mid Day Melee

On Wednesday, January 13, Wrestling hosted its annual Mid Day Melee when the Eagles compete before the end of the school day, giving faculty and students a chance to take in the action. Gonzaga faced Paul VI and The Heights.

"The Mid Day Melee a great way to get a large portion of the student body and faculty to watch a wrestling match in the Carmody Center," said Athletic Director Joe Reyda '85. "It's a great atmosphere and the wrestlers appreciate the support from their fellow classmates and their teachers."

Gonzaga fell to PVI 50-21 and defeated the Heights 63-21. Wrestling is 1-3 on the year. Next up, the Eagles will face St. John's and Bishop O'Connell on Wednesday, January 18. You can find the entire schedule here.
