Gonzaga Comes Together for International Food Fair and Multicultural Day

On Wednesday, with the help of the Gonzaga Mothers Club and the Student Government Association, students enjoyed the International Food Fair and Multicultural Day -- a memorable day of celebration and community-building.

After an all-school Mass in St. Aloysius Church, students were invited to take part in GonzagaFest. Organized by the SGA, GonzagaFest is all about fun, and featured dozens of light-hearted competitions and stations set up all over campus -- think Spikeball, scooter basketball, karaoke, Gaga ball, and more.

An army of volunteers from The Gonzaga Mothers Club was also on hand for the International Food Fair,  when students and faculty experience the diversity of our school community by enjoying delicious food from around the world. Organized by the Gonzaga Mothers Club and benefiting the Modern and Classical Languages Departments, the event gives students and families the opportunity to bring in a dish representing their family heritage or favorite tradition. The Jazz Band played in the courtyard, and students had a wonderful time sampling everything from empanadas and sesame noodles to tacos and perogies. After the event, the GMC donated and delivered the extra food to the McKenna Center and Shrine of the Sacred Heart parish in DC.

Below are some great photos of the day -- thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!
