Meet the Athletic Staff: Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Marcus Taylor '97

This week we will continue our Athletic Department interview series by talking with Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Marcus Taylor '97! Coach Taylor is in his third year back on Eye Street leading both off-season and in-season growth and physical maintenance. He works to help build up our student-athletes for all three seasons of competition.

Coach Taylor has been coaching Strength and Conditioning since 2007 and he opened his own gym in 2014. His approach centers on safety, technique, creating a supportive environment, and striving to educate for the long term by instilling both mental and physical confidence in every young Eagle. Learn about his belief in the importance of structure, how a typical day begins the night before, the joy of seeing the boys reach milestones, what Gonzaga Athletics means to him, and more:

See workouts from Coach Taylor and some great videos of Eagles hitting their milestones via @Gonzaga_Strength on Instagram.

Thanks for tuning in for this weekly video series! In the weeks ahead, we will continue to post them as news stories as well as on our Gonzaga Sports Facebook and Gonzaga Sports Instagram feeds.

Hail Gonzaga!
