Congratulations to the Inductees into the National Honor Society!

This week, Gonzaga’s National Honor Society is sponsoring and organizing the annual Canned Food Drive. Therefore, it’s a fitting time to celebrate and recognize this student group, whose induction ceremony unfortunately had to be cancelled last spring due to COVID-19.

NHS is a national organization that recognizes exceptional high school students. The Gonzaga chapter strives to create service, academic, and leadership opportunities that foster growth on campus for both its members and the entire Gonzaga community. Students who are in the middle of their sophomore year or older and who have a cumulative GPA of 3.800 or higher are invited to apply. In order to be accepted, students must also demonstrate the four pillars of the NHS which are Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

In February of 2020 eligible students were invited to apply and applications were reviewed and processed. Congratulations to all of this year’s inductees! Click here to see a full list.

In addition to selecting the newly elected members, the chapter held the annual officer elections in early March. The following students were elected by their peers and are currently serving in these positions:
  • Jack Doolin '21, President
  • Grant Weeter '21, Vice President of Communications
  • Alex Gerhlach '21, Vice President of Tutoring
  • Sean Miller '21, Vice President of Tutoring
  • Josh Maggiano '21, Vice President of Service
