Seven Senior Football Eagles Earn NFF Scholar Athlete Award

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame's National Capital Region's Chapter held their 12th annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet on April 22, 2018 at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA.  The banquet recognized 42 of Maryland, D.C, and Virginia's finest football scholar-athletes who have achieved high academic standards and plan to continue playing at the college level.

Three local college athletes from Howard University, Catholic University and Gallaudet were recognized in addition to the high school students. Gonzaga's presence was felt strongly--we accounted for seven of the 42 area student-athletes, the most of any school for the second year in a row.

The student-athletes who were honored were Maguire DiLenge, Jordan Colbert, Jake Galli, Luke Hoffman, Jack Keenan, Robbie Mangas, and Aidan Rafferty. DiLenge also received a special scholarship award.

Congratulations to all!
