Rugby Honors Seniors, Holds Annual Alumni Match
On Thursday, May 15, Gonzaga Rugby honored 33 seniors. The team held a ceremony on Buchanan Field to honor the Class of 2025 Eagles from both the Varsity Purple and the Varsity Black rosters before playing the annual alumni match. It was a great evening on Eye Street and the Gonzaga Sports Broadcasting Club provided a great live stream broadcast as the Alumni won the game 63-14.
Next up, Varsity Black will play DeMatha in the MAVRC Championship at Heurich Field today, Friday May 16 at 4pm. And Varsity Purple will compete at 2025 High School Rugby National Championship Tournament at the Moose Rugby Grounds in Elkhart, Indiana from May 22-24. Click here to follow the team on Instagram.
