If you attend a Catholic grade school in Maryland or D.C., you’ll take the High School Placement Test at your school. Then, download the Records Request Form from your Checklist and have your parent/guardian sign and send it to your grade school. Your school will send Gonzaga grades, standardized test results, attendance records, and disciplinary actions. Lastly, choose two current teachers from your school (one from math or science and one from history or English). Using your Checklist, email them the Recommendation Form to fill out on your behalf. The teachers can upload those to your Checklist once completed. You are allowed a third, optional recommendation from another teacher or school staff member.

Archdiocese of Washington High School Placement Testing

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is a test that most Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Washington consider when reviewing students’ applications to their schools.

The Saturday administration of the HSPT is for 8th grade students who are not currently enrolled in an Archdiocese of Washington, Diocese of Arlington, or Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic school. Registration will open in October.

Gonzaga is only hosting the HSPT.  You must register directly with the Archdiocese of Washington to take the test. Click here for complete details.
