Track competed in three competitions last weekend, sending athletes to the 61st Dogwood Track Classic at University of Virginia, to the Puma East Coast International Showcase at Morgan State University, and to the 42nd Draper Invitational at St. Stephen St. Agnes High School.
At Dogwood, Kainoa Winston ’25 captured his second outdoor individual school record of his career by breaking the 24 year old 100 meter dash mark with a time of 10.53. The previous record, set in 2001, was held by Douglas Dutch ’04. Winston follows in Dutch’s footsteps in more ways than one, as he will play football at the University of Michigan, where Dutch played from 2004-2008. Winston also holds the 200 meter dash record (21.58). Here is his race from last Saturday:
Additionally at Dogwood, Anthony Sarro ’25 ran a personal best time in the 1600 to earn a 6th place finish. Click
