Athletic Department Announces New Swim and Dive Head Coach
On Friday, October 7th, the Athletic Department announced that Brian Kilner '16 -- a Science teacher on Eye Street -- will serve as the new head coach of the Gonzaga Swim and Dive program.
Coach Kilner has been the head coach of Inverness Recreation Club in the MCSL (Montgomery County Swim League) for four years and has coached in the MCSL for eight years. He is also a member of USA Swimming. As a student on Eye Street, Brian was named first team All-Met in Rowing in 2016 and was a 2015 Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Champion. He now teaches Biology and Honors Biology on Eye Street.
"Coach Kilner's enthusiasm and love of the sport and Gonzaga will be big assets to the swim and dive program," said Athletic Director Joe Reyda '85. "Having Coach Kilner on campus as a full-time teacher is an added bonus. We look forward to a great season this winter."
