The cross country team finished in 3rd place overall at the DCXC Invitational on Saturday.
There were separate varsity races for each grade.  Medalists included:
Freshmen - Patrick Donnelly, 22nd
Sophomores -  Gavin McElhennin, 1st (this is the first time Gonzaga has had an individual winner in this meet, which is now in its 4th year); Cullen Capuano, 5th
Juniors - David Giannini, 13th; Gavin Farley, 18th.
We also had strong performances from Andy Beckham, Luke Francese, and Daniel Roginski.
Here is a Washington Post article about the race, written by Gonzaga alum Dan Roth.
