Indoor Track's Sarro Wins Two Golds and Sets School Record
Indoor Track competed at the Liberty University Premiere High School Invitational last Saturday. Thirty-eight Eagles competed, with the team achieving 24 personal bests. We ran eight relays and competed in three field events. Eight Eagles accounted for our 31 points on the day with Anthony Sarro '26 (20), Ozias Tulloch '27 (5), Lincoln Shelton '27 (2), Teddy Fritz '26 (2), Aamir Uthman '26 (1), and the 4x400 Relay Team of Ryan Brown '27, Tyghe Madigan '26, Uthman, and Evan Delcher '26 (1).
Sarro won both the 1600 in a time of 4:13.87 (narrowly missing the school record held by Billy Ledder '10) and the 3200 in a time of 9:15.38 (setting a new school record previously held by Gavin McElhennon '20). The 1600 finish is currently US #2 and the 3200 is currently US #9. Click here for all of our results from the day.
Next up, the Eagles are competing in the VA Showcase in Virginia Beach and at the Episcopal High School Winter Invite. Click here to see the full schedule, and here to follow the team on Instagram.
