As part of a special day on Eye Street that included class reunions and the Reyda Stadium dedication, Gonzaga Football defeated Good Counsel to improve to 5-3 on the season and 1-1 in WCAC play. The Falcons took an early lead after scoring on the opening possession on a 64 yard drive. But Gonzaga answered right back after just three plays on offense. Quarterback Jason Lindsay '27 found tight end Brayden Marko '26 on a short pass that turned into a 65 yard touchdown to tie the game 7-7 early in the first quarter. The Eagles' defense stiffened to shut down Good Counsel, and kicker Quinn Maguire '28 nailed a 37 yard field goal late in the second quarter to make it 10-7 at halftime.
In the second half, defensive backs Derien Terry '26 and Jackson Waddy '28 each had an interception while Walker Littleton '26 made one of his two sacks. Wide receiver Lincoln Shelton '27 made key special teams and offensive plays to set up freshman kicker Coleman Hammond's 20 yard field goal that gave the Eagles a six point lead heading into the fourth quarter. In the end, senior defensive end Carter Meadows made a big sack to stifle Good Counsel's final drive and preserve the win, 13-7. Littleton made 10 tackles on the day and was named the DC Touchdown Club Player of the Week. Click
