Hosted in memory of Geordan Harris ’03, this event for young alumni takes place every fall at Old Angler’s Inn in Potomac. It includes great food and drink, entertainment, and a silent auction. All proceeds support the Geordan Harris Scholarship Fund at Gonzaga College High School.
Geordan devoted his full energy to everything he did—whether it was as captain of Gonzaga’s wrestling team or volunteering for a cause important to him. After graduating from Gonzaga in 2003, Geordan went on to Clemson University. After college, he worked at local real estate developer the JBG Companies while earning a Masters in Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. He also served on the Board of Directors of Access Youth, a local nonprofit.
After Geordan’s death in 2013, his family, friends, and colleagues established the Geordan Harris Memorial Fund to honor his spirit and passion. Awarded to a rising senior at Gonzaga who exhibits a sense of leadership and motivation to learn, the scholarship provides tuition assistance as well as a paid summer internship.
