Water Polo Sweeps Gilman Challenge
Water Polo swept the Gilman Challenge 3-0, with exciting victories over Calvert Hall (13-9), Gilman (11-10), and Malvern Prep (14-9) last weekend in Baltimore, MD.
The highly-anticipated match with Gilman was a barnburner. An incredible steal/assist/goal combo from seniors Thomas Singleton, Joe Mills, and Jake Hascall tied the game up with only 49 seconds left. After regular play ended with a 10-10 tie, Gonzaga emerged victorious in the shootout thanks to a command performance from goalie Joan Prats ‘27. "That was one of the hardest fought games I've coached," said head coach Nick Pugluise '08. Enjoy the tying goal below:
