Indoor Track Sets 3 School Records at New Balance, Earns All-American Finish at Adidas
Indoor Track finished its season in record-breaking fashion at New Balance Nationals Indoor (NBNI) from March 12-15 and at Adidas Indoor Nationals (AIN) from March 20-22 in Virginia Beach, VA. On Friday, March 13, the NBNI Sprint Medley Relay team of Ozias Tulloch '27, Evan Delcher '26, Ryan Brown '27, and Jack Coogan '28 won their heat in a time of 3:35.14 to break the previous school record time of 3:35.59 from the 2010 Nike Indoor Nationals team of Leo McLaughlin '10, Eric Pittman '11, Stacey Robinson '10, and Ben Zeiss '10. Also on Friday at NBNI, Anthony Sarro '26 reset the indoor school record for the 2 Mile, besting his previous mark with a time of 9:06.18. And on Sunday at NBNI, the 4x400 Relay of Tulloch, Kian Ash '28, Teddy Fritz '26, and Brown broke the indoor school mark by more than two seconds with a time of 3:21.91 (previous mark was 3:24.10 by Billy Ledder '10, Leo McLaughlin '10, Stacey Robinson '10, and Aaron Shepherd '10). The following weekend, at AIN, Tulloch ran a personal best in the 60m Hurdles (8.02) to advance to the finals where he finished in 8th place. He also ran a personal best in the 400 to best his previous indoor school record with a time of 49.71. And in the final event of the weekend (and the season), the 4x400 team of Tyghe Madigan '26, Ash, Brown, and Tulloch won their heat in a time of 3:23.11 to finish 3rd overall and earn National Elite All-American. Overall, ten Eagles competed at NBNI while nineteen Eagles competed at AIN. The outdoor season is up next and the team looks to continue to build toward the WCAC and DCSAA Championships in May. You can follow the team on Instagram
