Soccer Nets First WCAC Win, Heads to Kansas City
The Eagles wrapped up an action-packed week on the road today, capping off their road trip at the Jesuit Classic in Kansas City, MO. Following a 2-2 draw against Marquette (WI) last night, Gonzaga took the pitch against Regis Jesuit (CO) earlier today. Keep an eye on Gonzaga Soccer's Instagram page to see how they do!
Earlier in the week, the Eagles captured their first WCAC win of the year at O'Connell. Relentless pressure from our attack in the first half forced an own goal off a great cross from Nikolas Hughes ’27 in the 29th minute. After the Knights equalized midway through the second half, senior captain Charlie Waller stepped up big—scoring two goals in a four-minute span to secure the 3-1 win.
