Alumni

St. Al's Weddings

St. Aloysius Church is available for alumni wishing to celebrate the sacrament of marriage at their alma mater.
Please note that with rare exceptions (such as active faculty) the church is not available for non-alumni weddings. There are three basic steps to arrange for your wedding to take place at St. Aloysius:

List of 3 items.

  • Step 1: Submit a Request

First, review these frequently asked questions to ensure that St. Aloysius will be a suitable venue. Then fill out this General Information Form, which begins the process of requesting the church. Once it has been filled out, please return it to Priscilla Flynn at Gonzaga at pflynn@gonzaga.org.
  • Step 2: Secure a Date

After you've submitted your General Information Form, Gonzaga will begin working with you to finalize the date of your wedding. This includes arranging for a visit to ensure that both parties have seen the church prior to reserving a date. Once the date has been identified, you'll receive a contract and be required to submit a non-refundable deposit. Once the signed contract and deposit are received, the church will be reserved, and we will provide details and information that will be helpful in planning your wedding.
  • Step 3: Complete the Required Paperwork and Forms

The following marriage documents and other information needs to be provided to Priscilla Flynn at Gonzaga (pflynn@gonzaga.org) no later than one month before your wedding date.

    • New original Baptismal Certificate (issued no earlier than six months prior to wedding date) with notation saying that First Communion, Confirmation, etc. have been completed.
    • A Prenuptial Questionnaire for both parties, which is provided by your priest or deacon
    • Delegation Form (needed for Presiders who are not Priests in the Archdiocese of Washington).
    • Affidavit of Freedom to Marry (requires two witnesses from family members of both bride and groom)
    • Permission Letter from your Pastor to be married at St. Aloysius
    • Pre-Cana Certificate
    • Marriage Dispensation Form (if needed, should be prepared by your presider).
    • The remaining balance for use of the church.
