Spring Break Trips (2026)

Campus Ministry Service Immersion -
Apopka, Florida
Campus Ministry continued a more than 30-year partnership with the Hope CommUnity Center with a Spring Break trip to Apopka, Florida. Students and chaperones learned about the experience of immigrants through workshops, working on farms staffed by migrant workers, visits to Hope CommUnity Center’s partner organizations, and living with immigrant families in homestays. The trip equipped students with a greater understanding of the experience of undocumented individuals, legislation surrounding immigration, and advocacy.

Chinese Learners - Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, and Shanghai
An unforgettable educational journey across China, experiencing the country’s rich history, vibrant culture, and diverse cuisine firsthand. Traveling through Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, and Shanghai, the trip combined iconic landmarks, cultural exchanges, and culinary exploration into a truly global learning experience.

El Camino Class - Spain
The trip was the culmination of an independent tutorial that the students have been taking this semester dedicated to the Camino Ignaciano, an ancient pilgrimage route. The group hiked 100 kilometers of the Camino visiting major sites that were influential to St. Ignatius's conversion. The group continued to experience growth in their Ignatian spirituality.

Global Exchange Program - Spain, Italy, and France
Students were eager to visit their global exchange partners who had traveled to Gonzaga during the fall semester. Students from abroad stayed in students' homes while taking classes on Eye Street and exploring Washington, DC. During spring break, it was Gonzaga's turn to visit their new friends in Barcelona, Spain, Milan, Italy, and Lyon, France. The Jesuit host schools and families provided gracious hospitality, as well as sightseeing and cultural opportunities.

Lourdes Pilgrimage - Lourdes, France
For the first time, four juniors joined Hosanna House and Children's Pilgrimage Trust on their yearly pilgrimage to Lourdes, France to accompany young people with intellectual and physical disabilities. During the week, the students learned about the life of Saint Bernadette, prayed to Our Lady at the Grotto, and received healing through the Holy Waters of Lourdes. In their service, the group planned games and other events for the special needs community, whom the week was dedicated to.
