13 Eagles Selected to Spring All-Met Teams, Hanagan '08 Named Coach of the Year

The Washington Post published its Spring All-Mets list last week, and recognized head golf coach Michael Hanagan '08 as Coach of the Year and 13 Gonzaga student-athletes for their outstanding play over the spring season. Congratulations to Coach Hanagan and the following Eagles!

Coach of the Year: Michael Hanagan ’08
  • "Hanagan has overseen one of the most consistent and successful stretches by a local golf program in recent history. This year the Eagles won the team titles at both the WCAC and DCSAA tournaments — the program’s ninth and second straight championships, respectively. Under Hanagan’s leadership, Gonzaga has a 100-3-2 record in regular season matches and 14 postseason tournament wins." -Washington Post

1st Team: Jake Lopes '27
  • "Lopes made big strides in his second year with the Eagles, earning first-team WCAC honors while going undefeated in match play and finishing second individually at the DCSAA championships." -Washington Post

Lacrosse
1st Team: Gaetano Cicotello '25 
  • The Yale commit was picked to play in the New Balance All-America Lacrosse Senior Game.
