Cross Country Celebrates "Triple Crown" Season With Jesuit Championship Win

The 2019 Gonzaga Cross Country Eagles triumphed at the 76th Annual Jesuit Cross Country Championship on November 16, 2019 at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City.

The varsity team took the top three spots, led by Cullen Capuano '20 who finished 1st, Gavin McElhennon ‘20 in 2nd, and Patrick Donnelly ‘21 in 3rd. Luke Francese ‘20 finished 8th, and  Quinn Kirchner ‘22 rounded out Gonzaga's top five finishing 17th.

For the first time in almost a decade, the team can celebrate a "Triple Crown" season with wins in the WCAC Championship, the DCSAA Championship, and the Jesuit Championship!

Special shout out goes to Cullen Capuano ‘20 who, with the first place finish last Saturday, became the first runner in Gonzaga Cross Country history to win all three aforementioned championship meets in the same season.

Congrats to the 2019 Cross Country squad!
