Gonzaga Wins Award for Sustainability
Gonzaga was recently given the Green Star Award by the Ignatian Solidarity Network for its ongoing significant commitment to institutional sustainability.
Last year, Gonzaga participated in the Ignatian Carbon Challenge, an effort by Catholic schools around the world to bring to life Pope Francis’s encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si.
During the challenge, Gonzaga students focused on waste reduction—installing new recycling bins around campus, encouraging classmates and teachers to use refillable water bottles, rather than plastic bottles, and reducing the use of paper.
Congratulations to all of those involved in making our school more green!
