Dick Myers Celebration

Please join Gonzaga basketball alumni and friends on Saturday, July 16 for a special reception celebrating the 80th birthday of coaching legend Dick Myers.
Dick Myers spent 29 years on Eye Street as an English teacher and coach of both basketball and golf.  He elevated the basketball program into one of the premier high school programs in the country. Coach Myers compiled a 714-362 record, including four Catholic League Championships, two Alhambra Tournament Titles, and a City Title, among a host of championships and All-Metropolitan player selections. Named as the 1999 All-Met Basketball Coach of the Year, he had 61 former players go on to become captains of their collegiate teams.

Coach Myers turns 80 in July, and Gonzaga and his former players, staff and friends will host a celebration in his honor. Please join us Saturday, July 16, on the basketball court bearing his name to wish Happy Birthday to our Coach, Dick Myers.
