Since its founding in 1995, Gonzaga Crew has steadily grown—introducing more and more young men to the sport while becoming increasingly competitive on the water. Over the past decade, Gonzaga has risen to become one of the top scholastic boys’ rowing programs in the country.
Spring 2023 will mark Head Coach Tom Daley's first season leading Gonzaga Rowing. Tom has been with the Gonzaga Crew Program since 2014, serving as Assistant Freshman Coach, Assistant Varsity Coach, Head Freshman Coach and now Head Coach of the Program. Tom began rowing at Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is a 1981 graduate of Temple University. In 2016, Tom retired as a Special Agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, after a 32 Year career in law enforcement.
With over 80 boys on the roster (Varsity & Freshman), the team fields boats at all levels. And while most of our athletes are new to the sport of rowing when they start at Gonzaga, many eventually go on to row in college.
