Since its founding in 1995, Gonzaga Crew has steadily grown—introducing more and more young men to the sport while becoming increasingly competitive on the water. Over the past decade, Gonzaga has risen to become one of the top scholastic boys’ rowing programs in the country.
In 2019, for the first time, Gonzaga Crew earned three medals at the annual Scholastic Rowing Association of America Regatta. Earlier in the season, Gonzaga prevailed over St. Albans to retain the Foley Cup for the fourth year in a row. And the next day, the team won the points trophy for the eights at the Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic Rowing Association Championship.
With over 75 boys on the roster, the team fields boats at all levels. And while most of our athletes are new to the sport of rowing when they start at Gonzaga, many eventually go on to row in college.
