Spotlight on Student Photography

Students in Ms. Shelly Farace's Photography II and IV classes recently used two class periods to walk to Union Station and the Capitol Building.

Within Union Station, students were challenged to photograph a variety of subjects including back-lit windows, commuters, pops of color, motion, design, repetition, and leading lines.

During the walk to the Capitol, students were encouraged to experiment with creative framing. The group stopped along the way to photograph down the middle of North Capitol (via the crosswalk), discuss leading lines and how to set up a particular photo, and capture interesting reflections from the buildings they passed.
