Alexander Reisig ’23 Completes Eagle Scout Project to Benefit The McKenna Center

In early July, Alexander Reisig ’23 completed his Eagle Scout project, delivering more than 1,000 essential items to the McKenna Center on Gonzaga’s campus.

After learning that donations to nonprofits and charities had plummeted since the outbreak of COVID, Reisig began working with Erin Brown, Clothing Closet Manager at The McKenna Center, to determine what was most needed.  Reisig then designed an Amazon wish list to organize and solicit socially-distant donations of items such as underwear, undershirts, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and hand-warmers.

“I have volunteered at The McKenna Center and been exposed to the need near our campus,” said Alexander. “I am hopeful that this Eagle project will help provide essential items to the men that we serve and I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the effort.”

Joining Alexander to deliver the products were several Scouts and fellow Gonzaga Eagles, including Pierce Reisig ‘25 (Troop 301), Michael DiLorenzo ’22, Jameson Craig ’23 (Troop 1996), and Hartwell Craig ’ 25 (Troop 1996). Alexander is a member of Troop 131.

We hope you enjoy these great photos of the delivery.
