Caleb Williams '21 Named Gatorade D.C. Player of the Year

Congratulations to sophomore football player Caleb Williams, who has been named the 2018-2019 Gatorade District of Columbia Player of the Year!  Caleb joins Richie Petitbon '15 as a recent winner of the honor, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field.  Click here to read a full press release.

Williams earned First Team All-WCAC honors and was named the Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Eagles to their first WCAC Championship  since 2002.

As a Gatorade Player of the Year, Caleb will be able to select a national or local youth sports organization to receive a grant as part of the Gatorade "Play It Forward" program. Every Gatorade Player of the Year state winner receives a $1,000 grant to donate and will have the opportunity to enter for an additional $10,000 spotlight grant by writing a brief essay explaining why their selected organization deserves support.

Caleb possesses a unique blend of physical skills and mental intangibles. His arm is a model for accuracy and velocity, and his legs combine elusiveness and power.  Most impressive however is Caleb's decision making and poise under pressure,” says Head Coach Randy Trivers.

Congratulations Caleb!
