Indoor Track's Winston '25 Breaks School Record

On Saturday, January 14 Indoor Track travelled to the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA to compete in the 12th Atlantic Coast HS Invitational. The Eagles came away with two medal winners: Kainoa Winston '25 and John Dearie '24. Winston broke his own school record in the 55 meter dash with a 6.44 (his previous best of 6.46 overtook Rajee Dunbar '12 top spot from 2012) to take the gold medal. He also ran a personal best 36.17 in the 300 meter dash (3rd all-time at Gonzaga) to take the bronze medal in that event. Dearie ran a personal best 7.92 (7th best in school history) in the 55 meter hurdle finals to take the silver medal.
The 4x200 team of Winston, captain Markeith Hogan '23, Samuel Terry, Jr. '25, and Lincoln Fisher '25 came in 4th with a time of 1:34.03. The team finished 7th out of 23 teams with 29 points. For all of our results, click here.

The Eagles have two meets this weekend. Friday at the Maroon & Black Relays at Episcopal HS and Saturday at the Last Track to Philly Invitational at Georgetown Prep.
