Swim & Dive Finishes Second at Catholics

On January 14-15, Swim & Dive competed in Catholic Nationals held at Loyola University in Maryland. The Eagles finished in second place  with a score of 328.5, 22 points behind first place Loyola Blakefield.

Congratulations to the Gonzaga swimmers who came in first place in the following six events: 
- Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay - 1:33.44 (Finn Bacon '24, Jack Moloney '23, Trent Badrak '23, Lucas Zidlicky '23)
- Boys 200 Yard IM - 1:52.39 (Jack Moloney '23)
- Boys 100 Yard Free - 45.51 (Aiden Bond '23)
- Boys 200 Free Relay - 1:24.78  (Trent Badrak '23, Jack Moloney '23, Palmer Bice '25, Aiden Bond '23)
- Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke - 57.00 (Jack Moloney '23)
- Boys 400 Free Relay - 3:06.72 (Lucas Zidlicky '23, Palmer Bice '25, Finn Bacon '24, Aiden Bond '23)

Additionally, three relays earned All-American Consideration times:
200 Medley Relay (Finn Bacon '24, Jack Moloney '23, Trent Badrak '23, Lucas Zidlicky '23)
200 Free Relay (Trent Badrak '23, Jack Moloney '23, Palmer Bice '25, Aiden Bond '23)
400 Free Relay (Lucas Zidlicky '23, Palmer Bice '25, Finn Bacon '24, Aiden Bond '23)
 
And congratulations to both Aiden Bond '23 and Jack Moloney '23 who were awarded "Swimmer of the Meet" for their production in the pool. Bond achieved individual All-American Consideration for his times in both 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle races.
