Football Falls in 5OTs, Looks to Bounce Back vs DeMatha

The Varsity Football Eagles fell to Good Counsel in a tough game on the road on October 11. Despite outgaining the Falcons by more than 150 yards, Gonzaga could not earn their first WCAC victory of 2019. The score was tied 7-7 at the end of regulation, but as The Washington Post put it, the "low-scoring slog morph(ed) into five-OT shootout." Click here to read that complete article.

The Eagles are now 6-1 overall and 0-1 in the WCAC. The team is back in action on Saturday, October 19 versus now top-ranked DeMatha. The game is set for a 2 PM kick off from Buchanan Field.
