Retreat Team Training—Enjoy the Photos!

Last weekend, over 100 Gonzaga upperclassmen took time to pray and reflect during Gonzaga's retreat team training. The quote on the team shirts--"Widen the circle of compassion until no one stands outside"--is from Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ, who founded Homeboy Industries, a gang prevention and rehabilitation program in Los Angeles.

During the team's time together, the students practiced group facilitation and elements of the retreats. Most importantly, the group had time to come together and time to pray. Fr. LoBiondo, SJ celebrated the vigil mass on Saturday before the group reflected on the way God can put their gifts at the service of the community this year. On Thursday, August 29, some of the leaders will host freshmen in the afternoon for the first of three Freshman Spirit Days. And soon enough, a group will be heading out to lead the first of four sophomore retreats!

We wish these young men, and all those they will serve, the best this year. Enjoy the photos from the training:
