News of Alumni: Anthony Maddox '17 and Loic Sangwa '19

Anthony Maddox '17 and Loic Sangwa '19 have spent the past two summers conducting research at the National Institute of Health (NIH). On August 9 this year, both won Exceptional Summer Student awards for their research and presentations at a Poster Session hosted by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes (NINDS).

Anthony worked on developing an interactive screening test for the assessment of possible cognitive impairments. He is a rising junior at Drexel University and is studying computer gaming.

Loic's research focused on creating a structural model of human glycine-selective transporters GlyT1 and GlyT2. Loic is headed to Johns Hopkins University in the fall, where he will major in pre-medicine and play football.
