News of Alumni: Patrick Hesse ‘16

Patrick Hesse ‘16 recently completed an Ironman triathlon in Lake Placid, NY, swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and completing a 26.2 mile marathon. Because of the changes in elevation throughout it, the Lake Placid course is considered one of the most difficult; Patrick completed the race in 14 hours, 14 minutes.

Patrick is a rising senior at The Citadel in Charleston, SC, where he is on a full Naval Scholarship. After his graduation in May, he will be commissioned in the United States Navy.
