News of Alumni: Will Bardenwerper ’94

Will Bardenwerper ’94 published his first book, The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid, in June. The book tells the story of 12 American soldiers deployed to Iraq who find themselves assigned to live alongside and guard Saddam Hussein. The man they come to know defies expectations, and leading him to the gallows proves more difficult than they could have imagined.
