Wrestling Wins DC Independent State Championship, Competes at Nationals

On Saturday, February 18 Wrestling won the 2023 DC Independent State Championship. Gonzaga came in first place with a score of 244 team points.

Congratulations to the following 7 wrestlers who came in 1st place:

- Jack McDonough '23 (132)
- Flynn Shoji '23 (138)
- Wyatt Croog '23 (144)
- Matt Van Sice '25 (150)
- Bo Sulc '26 (165)

The Eagles finished the season on the mat at National Preps on Saturday, February 25. In addition to the winners listed above, Thomas Keefe '25 (157 lbs) and Sam Van Dyck '23 (175 lbs) earned the right to compete in the Championships. Although none of the Eagles earned their way on to the medal stand, it was a great way for the team finish a strong season. 

Congratulations to Coach Snowden and the entire program on a great year.
