Wrestling Beats St. John's & O'Connell
On Monday, January 16 Wrestling defeated conference foes St. Johns and Bishop O'Connell.
The Eagles beat both teams, respectively, by the same team score of 63-9. The undefeated day was anchored by two-win performances from team captains Jack McDonough '23 (132), Flynn Shoji '23 (138) and Wyatt Croog '23 (144). Haitham Karim '25 (157) and Bo Sulc '26 (165) also got two wins for Gonzaga.
Andrew Irisari '25 (126), Sam Van Dyck '23 (175), and Matthew Van Sice '25 (150) also went undefeated on the day with one victory each on the mat.
With the wins, the Eagles improved their overall team dual meet record to 7-7.
