Marty Favret '80 Sets Record at Hampden-Sydney College

Congratulations to Marty Favret '80, head football coach at Hampden-Sydney College, who broke the school's record this fall for the most wins at the head coaching job. 

Favret taught history at Gonzaga from 1987 to 1999. From 1987 - 1990, he led the Eagles' JV football team, and then served as offensive coordinator under legendary coach Maus Collins from 1991 -1993, before taking the same position at Catholic University. In 2000, he became the head football coach at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Earlier this fall, he recorded his 144th victory at the helm, making him the winningest coach in the history of the college.
