Cross Country Begins 2022 Campaign

On Saturday, September 10th, Cross Country finished in 4th place among 24 schools at the 39th Annual Richard Barnhart Memorial Invitational in Timonium, MD. This was the Eagles' first meet of the year -- a competition Matt Podratsky '25 described as "absolutely electric."
 
The varsity team was led by Lucas Rohde '24, who finished in 9th place overall with a time of 16:16. Other varsity scorers included Matt Podratsky '25, Anthony Sarro '26, Liam Thomson '22, and John Hirko '25.
 
In the junior varsity race, the sophomore class led the Eagles to a 5th place finish. All five scoring runners were members of the class of 2025 -- Johnny Broome (who finished in 12th place overall), Peter Allen, Declan Ewald, Will Prisco, and Finn Kramer.

The Gonzaga Cross Country team is back in action on Saturday, September 24th in the Spiked Shoe Invitational at Stevenson University.
