Soccer Beats Sidwell Friends 4-0
On a cloudy afternoon in NW DC the Varsity Eagles took on the Quakers of Sidwell Friends in a rematch of the 2019 DCSAA State Championship. This was the first meeting between the two teams since that game when the Eagles won 3-0.
Daniel Bollman '24 got the scoring going early putting the Eagles up 1-0. It wouldn’t be until the 2nd half that Bollman '24 would add two more and captain Andre Barrett '23 rocketed a shot into the top corner to really open things up. The stalwart defense was led by Stefan Gately '23, Daniel Colucci '23, Kiernan Mulcahy '23, and Andre Barrett '23. Gonzaga went on to win 4-0 in the end.
