Football Beats Carroll, Faces McDonogh in Game 2

Football is officially back on Eye Street. The Eagles opened up their 2022 campaign on Buchanan field vs Archbishop Carroll. To start the game, WR Brendan Lee '23 returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown. Gonzaga would rally off that momentum and go into halftime up 25-0.

Gonzaga won 37-14 behind outstanding performances from WR and Kicker Jalen Penn '23, LB and Captain Markeith Hogan '23, and QB Aidan Conrath '24. Conrath was named both the Washington Post Player of the Week and the DC Touchdown Club WCAC Player of the Week.

The Eagles are now 1-0 on the season and will host McDonogh this Friday, September 2nd, at 6:30pm.
